A few comments from our customers:
From an Accelerated 10 Day CFI Student:
Hey Don! Hope you’re having a great day. Just wanted to say thank you again for all the mentorship and training. I’m already working full time as a CFI and I owe it to you. I greatly, deeply appreciate it! I’ll be sure to send referrals your way.
From an Accelerated 10 Day CFI Student:
Hey! Just wanted to thank both of you for all that you taught me in my time at Steins. I just taught my first ground school class last night- of 16 students- and it was awesome! I wouldn’t have been able to stand up and teach on a whiteboard like that without all your help, so just know how appreciated it is. Hope all has been going well for you guys down there.
From an Accelerated 10 Day CFI Student:
I had an absolute blast training here in Waukesha and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you to my instructors Danny and Don for getting me here!
From an Accelerated 10 Day CFI student:
Thank you for all of the help. Everything we worked on was so helpful and I am just so appreciative of the work y’all put in to help me.
From an aircraft seller who had a bad experience with an annual, low compression on a cylinder, that we helped avoid cylinder replacement by staking the exhaust valve.
You are right that is fabulous news!! thank you so much Don! We very much appreciate all that you are doing to help us. Your aviation knowledge is immense!
From an aircraft purchaser who needed some extra help understanding his new aircraft systems and avionics:
Thanks, Don!
That is great and valuable information. So, It’s important to remember to switch tanks back and forth since there is no “both” selector. I did a bit of reading on the Tru-Trak myself and it’s very capable. At the same time, It’s not simple so having that manual will be great. Thank you so much for all your help.
From an aircraft purchase who had a few issues getting it ferried to his mountain location:
Reminds me of the girl who get’s married and the new husband goes off to war, or says “I’ll be back for her”! The challenge of weather (mostly) people and schedules. I am very grateful for your generosity and patience. This would far far more challenging, expensive, and take a toll on the plane without it.
From an American Bonanza Society – Beech Pilot Proficiency Program pilot after BFR & IPC:
Thanks for your good instruction and guidance today. I accomplished all of my goals thanks to a competent and caring instructor. Thanks so much for your good work.
From parent of a High School Student:
I still can’t thank you enough for your time and the help you provided getting Caleb to the end goal, a private pilot certificate! I still can’t believe it and can’t wait to get a ride with him! He’s tried a couple times but the weather didn’t cooperate. …He has been accepted to UND and admitted to the Commercial Aviation program.
From a Private Pilot student taking instruction in a Sport Pilot aircraft (the picture and message were in the same text):
Thank you! I am blessed to have you as my instructor. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Dear ABS:I am writing in support of Don Muehlbauer’s BPPP instructor application. Don and I flew last year for the first time to complete my flight review and IPC. I was immediately impressed with Don’s depth of knowledge, practical approach and ability to tailor the experience to my needs, personal style and abilities. His knowledge of the Bonanza’s systems and handling, FAR’s, flight planning and weather, instrument and emergency procedures was exemplary. With an ATP and over 3,400 hours in N9BN, I have flown with quite a number of instructors over 36 years. Don is as good as any I have flown with and I am confident he will be an excellent addition to the BPPP program. I give him my highest personal endorsement and look forward to flying with him in the future. Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions.
Sincerely, Chris
From annual AOPA CFI Survey: You’re an awesome CFII, looking forward to the continued training. If they don’t share the results with you, then know that I rated everything at 5’s. In comments I mentioned how at ease you make a person feel, your patience and aviation knowledge.
Just want to say how much I appreciate your style – very thorough and thoughtful! It’s a stark contrast to my experience with the other instructors which was always “on the fly” for what we would work on.
Thank you for the great IFR training. I appreciate that you made the training challenging to prepare for real world IMC.
Feedback, your gentleness makes you a joy to fly with, even though a BFR is not a test it sure feels like it and raises anxiety. I have already passed your name to my hangar mates.
I think this is going to be one of those stories you tell your grandchildren. … was a lady who was recovering from a broken leg, hadn’t flown for a couple of months, plus you didn’t have brakes on my side, and the plane was fresh out of annual.
Story to go with this picture… Student gave instructor a “challenge coin” from the CIA as a symbol of appreciation for what he said was “his best BFR ever”. He thanked instructor for not “nit-picking” and we also know we demonstrated some emergency procedure techniques to increase glide that the student had never heard of or seen demonstrated. FYI, challenge coins originated in the military and are used as rewards or awards for outstanding service or performance of duty.
Don, I cannot tell you how grateful I am for all your help. Hope you and your family have a great Labor Day weekend. (from a 70 year old just before taking his Sport Pilot checkride)
Don, Thank you for your expertise, patience, generous time, confidence. What a difference this made. And fun too with your good company and insights along with so many new experiences including Burlington!!
